Slack
Post messages to Slack channels from Automations using a connected workspace credential.
Connect
- Open Automations → Integrations
- Choose Slack → Connect and approve the OAuth consent for your workspace
- Confirm the connection shows Active, then use Test if available
- In a workflow, add Slack: post message and pick that credential + channel
Invite the bot
The Slack app must be a member of the target channel. Private channels usually need an explicit invite after connect.
Troubleshoot
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| channel_not_found / channel not found | Check channel id/name; invite the bot to the channel. |
| not_in_channel | Invite the Engagive Slack app into that channel, then retry. |
| invalid_auth / reconnect required | Reconnect Slack on Integrations; keep the same credential on the node. |
| Message never posts on live events | Publish the automation and keep it active; Test run uses the draft. |
