Automations overview
Automations are Engagive visual workflows: connect triggers (messages, AI handoff, schedule, webhook, …) to logic and actions that send on WhatsApp or AppChat, update contacts, call HTTP, or post to integrations.
Not Meta WhatsApp Flows
WhatsApp Flows live under a WhatsApp account and are Meta’s interactive form product (Public API → Flows). Automations are a separate portal module with a canvas editor, draft/publish, Test / Run, and execution history.
Who this is for
- Operators building or publishing workflows in the business portal
- Anyone opening Docs from a node in the Automations editor
Before you start
- Open Automations in the portal (role must allow the module)
- Connect channel accounts you will send on
- Connect third-party apps under Integrations when needed
What you can do
- Start from the Automations Library or create a blank draft
- Wire triggers, logic, and actions on the canvas
- Test the draft; pin Input; use debug From/To and listen for live captures
- Publish when ready; keep the automation active for live events
- Inspect Run #N and per-node status in Executions
